About Me

Hello! I am Emma, a fully insured, self-employed and certified Baby & Child Sleep Consultant.

As a mother of two, I know first-hand how every child’s experience of sleep can be very different.

Both of my children suffered from reflux, one of which was silent. My eldest also had terrible colic and later sleep apnea, so I can relate to the exhaustion, emotion and despair that sleep deprivation can bring.

I used to sit for several hours waiting for my eldest to go to sleep, daring not to creep out of the room too soon for fear of her waking.  I would end up frustrated if I got as far as the door only for her to call out and I would have to start all over again.

When I became pregnant again, I knew things had to change.  There was no way I could continue with the lengthy bedtime and disturbed sleep with a newborn on the way.  I decided to get help from a Sleep Consultant and it was life changing

Looking back, I just wish I had done it so much sooner.  I think the key was that I needed to be ready and committed to make the changes needed to the routine and in the fog of sleep deprivation I wasn’t able to think straight.  Having my evenings back, being able to go out with friends or just have dinner at home with my husband at a reasonable time again felt amazing!!

When my youngest (a little IVF miracle) then arrived I really found the emotions and anxiety that I had over her safety and health was overwhelming at times. I am sure the process we had been through made those emotions much stronger, but it made me determined to help her to sleep well from the start so that she had the best chance to be as healthy and happy as possible. I knew that sleep training would make a real difference for us all.

My own positive and life changing experiences led me to pursue a career change. I have been trained personally by Karen Bramall founder of Baby Sleep the Night™ and I am so proud and passionate about my role as a Sleep Consultant as I am not only doing something that I love, but something that gives me a real sense of purpose, where I can make a tangible difference to people’s lives, by helping their children and babies to become Great Little Sleepers!
